The Woman's Building was open from 1973 to 1991 and offered classes on art, film, literature, theater, and more, as well as hosting art exhibits and the annual Vesta awards. It was founded by artist Judy Chicago, graphic designer Sheila Levrant de Bretteville, and art historian Arlene Raven.
