Biography of the architect by her niece. Bridgman graduated from the Kansas State Agricultural College in 1888 and earned a master’s degree in science from UC Berkeley. She was a teacher and author, whose works were published in journals like Overland Monthly. Architecture was Bridgman’s second career, which she practiced from the 1910s until 1939. She was involved in several construction efforts in North Berkeley after the 1923 Wildcat Canyon fire.
