Kyoto: Kyoto-Shoin Publishers Limited, 1963. Hardcover. As is, many leaves have been cut loose and laid back in, we think in toto. Reproductions are predominantly in brilliant color, with plenty of b&w, both on alkaline glossy paper; that is the first half of text. Latter presswork is done on unglazed stock with fuzzy photos of contributing critics and museum staff, text in Japanese, French and English. Hardbound in 11.5x10 inch white boards panelled gilt and spine-titled grey, the boards somewhat soiled with handling and offsetting. As is; at least our price is right. One last encouragement: the freed leaves were repositioned carefully and show no marginal damage.
