Cat.No: 291177 The Rise and Fall of New France - Volume One, Volume Two, complete set in two volumes. George M. Wrong.

The Rise and Fall of New France - Volume One, Volume Two, complete set in two volumes.

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1928. Hardcover. xiii, 491, viii, 493-925p., complete text in the two books, first American editions in medium blue cloth boards titled dark blue, and enclosed in their dust jackets. Find neat small ownership signatures in each volume (these belonged to scholar Rudolph Lapp), the casebindings are completely sound, clean and otherwise unmarked, while the djs are quite edgeworn and fragile, having been printed on semi-alkaline stock, and v.1 dj is split along upper joint-fold (we have made a fastening repair with verso tacks). An excellent set, supplementary to Francis Parkman's multi-volume work, published decades earlier.
