Announcing: The formation of a labor union based on Christian principals [sic] (broadside)

Detroit: Workers Council for Social Justice, Incorporated; printed by Dearborn Daily Herald, [1937]. Broadside. 12x18 inch broadside, folded into quarters, paper toned, short split at the center of the horizontal fold. "Coughlin" has been penciled in upper left corner.

Promotion of a newly established Coughlinite union more favorable to Detroit's auto makers than the UAW. “It is evident that here in Michigan there is dire need for a labor union based upon Christian principles of social justice. It is evident that capital cannot do without labor, nor can labor do without capital. It is likewise, evident that nothing can be done for economic peace by arraying class against class. Therefore, there is demanded this new labor union in which the rights, duties and responsibilities of capital and the rights, duties and responsibilities of labor are mutually recognized.”.
