On the case of six young Black men accused of murdering white shopkeeper William Horner. After a problematic trial with many irregularities, they were convicted by an all-white jury and sentenced to death. In the course of appeals, the defense showed that evidence had been faked, and Trenton's medical examiner was convicted of perjury. This document describes the case as "Scottsboro Northern style."
