Bakersfield: Chamber of Commerce, 1927 / 1931. Pamphlet. Two folded brochures on the same subject, much the same texts, differing design and visuals: First item is a single leaf of coated alkaline stock measuring 18x12 inches, folded three times to make an upright 9x4 inch flyer, presswork in yellow, green & black, a very good clean copy that hails (in a vignette) a little-known exposition occurring in San Francisco Nov 1927, the "Pacific Foreign Trade & Travel Expo". Second item derives from the first, four years later, with a scaled-back design and shorter text; this is a single leaf measuring 16x9, folded twice to make another upright 9x4 flyer. This second flyer has an inch-by-half-inch chip to upper margin, destroying the word 'Acre' of verso text, otherwise an okay copy with same boosterism but different stats. The two together as a sort of pair.
