California Souvenir Playing Cards

San Francisco: R.J. Waters, [1900]. Cards. Fifty two cards plus a joker, 2.5x3.5 inches each, with the state seal and an illustration of California poppies on the rear, some light edgewear, a few pencil marks on the joker, else very good condition in a worn two-part box with gilt titling; box is beginning to split along edges. The fronts of the cards show places of interest in California, including the Golden Gate, the State Capital, and Half Dome. Joker reads "Copyrighted 1898-1900."
