Portraits by Oliver Harrington, with text in the voices of representative members of the Black community, urging employers to overcome racial prejudice and hire Black men and women to aid in wartime industries. Harrington was hailed as "America's greatest African-American cartoonist" by Langston Hughes. He requested political asylum in East Germany in 1961 and spent the rest of his life there.
