USSR [1962-1964, 13 issues] fragmentary run Soviet Life Today

Washington DC: Embassy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Repubics, 1962-1964. Magazine. Thirteen issues, 10.5x14 inches, glossy wraps throughout with high quality illustrations, very much the Soviet version of "Look" and "Life" magazine in the U.S., in very good condition with dirty and foxed upper edges and minor cover wear. Issues present are Dec for 1962, Apr, September to December 1963 [September issue has mutliple what appear to be coffee mug stains on cover wrap], March to September, Nov for 1964.

Predecessor to "Soviet Life" [previously only a subtitle to the publication], this magazine printed at the USSR Embassy in Washington DC was designed as a "lite propaganda" tool avoiding overtly political issues and instead introducing Americans to Soviet "life and culture."
