Founded in 1974, the newsletter initially addressed peace in Vietnam. The present issues reflect that lineage as it followed the anti-war movement in Iraq and the Occupy movement. Some topics include Jacques Rancière on Politics, student debt, nonviolent action, and Occupy Wallstreet. MPAC is funded in part by the University of Maine Student Government.
