Les Ecrits Nouveaux: vol. 2, #11, Octobre-Novembre 1918: with La Jeune Fille Verde
Paris: Émile-Paul, freres, 1918. Paperback. pp. 243-288 + pp. 27-48. 6.5x9.5 inches, text in French, unopened sewn cream wraps with rubricated titles, toning to covers, unopened pages, laid-in is the second issue of the serialized novel by Toulet, "The Green Girl," the first appearance of the novel which would not be published until 1920, pages also unopened and with toning to edges.
The Barney contribution is the poem "Mes Mortes" or "My Dead." Giraudoux contributes "Vacances sur un chagrin." The Toulet unbound booklet is one of six published with the 1917-1918 issues. The novel is apparently a very light tale of manners in which a man gives up his mistress to marry a young, inexperienced or "green" girl. The journal was published between 1917 and 1922 and later became "Revue européenne."
