San Francisco: Planet Drum Foundation, 1979-2000. Thirty issues of the tabloid-format newspaper (one a double issue, so 29 physical papers in total), on good quality paper; very good but for rusted staple on issue 18/19.
An organization blending community activism with ecology, Planet Drum was Peter Berg's most important project after his involvement with the Diggers; it developed the concept of bioregionalism. Issues here have themes such as "Eco-Development," "What's Happening to the Water Web?" "Food as Place: Bioregional Agriculture," and"Reinhabitation or Global Monoculture?"
