Ernest Crosby to Henry Bool

[Detriot]: [Joseph Labadie], [1901?]. Single sheet, printed one side only, 3.5x5 inches, very good condition. Printed by Joseph Labadie. Reprints two 1901 letters from Crosby to Bool discussing a recent pamphlet written by Bool. No copies found in OCLC as of 11/2020.

Crosby was a pacifist proponent of animal rights, and great admirer of Leo Tolstoy, who he discusses in the letter. Bool was an individualist anarchist. Both men were opposed to "propaganda of the deed", and Crosby opens his first letter by writing "there should be some way of classifying seperately Anarchists who approve the use of assassination and those who condemn it."
