Development of Dam Engineering in the United States, Prepared in Commemoration of the Sixteenth Congress of the International Commission on Large Dams by the United States Committee on Large Dams
New York: Pergamon Press, 1988. Hardcover. xvi, 1072p., clay-coated paperstock throughout (making a very heavy book) with a great many illustrations: color and b&w site photography (some of it quite striking), diagrams galore, and line maps. Clothbound boards spine-titled gilt, in dust jacket. A handleable volume despite being worn and soiled; one suspects a former owner carried it around with him as he inspected dams in person. The dj is really thrashed. We'll describe the general condition as fair to good-only.
