New York: The Heritage Press, 1958. Hardcover. Respectively xxviii, 298, 303-615p., a well-designed text illustrated with marvellous double-spreads having color borders for the two titlepages and for each "book" or major chapter, plus other doublespreads; illustrated also with line maps bound in (one folded) and endpaper maps (two different areas) --plus numerous interesting sketches of the "action". Quite a production, one of the Heritage Press notables. Hardbound in matching decorated cloth boards gilt, top edges tinted brown. Not flawless, the spine panels are mildly sunned and v.2 has a small dent, but everything else is very good: casings, hinges and textblocks are sound, square and tight, both items clean and free of markings, ownership or otherwise.
