Chicago: Vietnam Veterans Against the War / Winter Soldier Organization, 1975-1980. Twenty-four issues of the tabloid format newspaper, horizontal fold, otherwise generally very good. The Winter Soldier issues have color posters on the back cover; later isues, after the name change, are in more standard black and white tabloid format. Numbers present are vol. 5 nos. 1-3, 5 (as Winter Soldier), followed by issues titled The Veteran, vol. 5 nos. 6, 7; vol. 6 nos. 1, 2, 4, 5; vol. 7 nos. 1-6; vol. 1 nos. 1-3; two different issues labeled vol. 9 no. 1, then vol. 9 nos. 2, 3, and vol. 10 no. 3.

Antiwar paper, with favorable coverage of guerrilla advances in Southeast Asia, criticism of treatment of veterans at home, etc. Later issues after the war address themes such as Agent Orange and depiction of the war by Hollywood, as well as internal struggles within VVAW as the Revolutionary Communist Party and other groups battled for control of the organization.
