Sicilian Antigruppo; compiled and edited by Stanley H. Garkan and Saverio A. Scammacca

Merrick NY: Cross-Cultural Communications, 1976. Pamphlet. An 11.5x9 inch folder with pockets containing fourteen standard leaves, cover sheet on 20# paper, the rest on light parti-colored cardstock. Cover leaf advances a dense mission statement, the others poems in English translated from Italian and Sicilian. The folder's rear cover prints a long list friends of the antigruppo, Ferlinghetti and Hugh MacDiarmid amongst them. Folder is somewhat beat-up with dust and a small stain, poem cards are very good.

Cover sheet describes the antigruppo as a "grassroots 'literary movement dedicated to free expansion and liberty'-from a place where it is not popular to be against the fanaticism of fascism, establishmentarianism, and the enslaving control of the Mafia."
