Trumansburg NY / Brooklyn: Hanging Judge Press / Hanging Loose, 1971. unbound. 68p., keyboard-set texts, in format a loose-leaved poetry journal (hence title); the small size of these unbound leaves (8.5x5.5 inches) makes item fairly easy to handle, and the subscription price affordable --one year costs $2.50 but it's going up to $4. Content is sophisticated; amongst twenty or so contributors a few with reputations: Marge Piercy, John Oliver Simon and Al Young. Paperstock has toned slightly, we see a couple dog ears, good copies enclosed in a printed envelope decorated with reproduction of a drawing of musicians, done by Paul Alexander; Alexander's comments on this image are scribbled in holograph on the back of this envelope, which is ratty and stained.
Published four times each year; contributing editor, Denise Levertov.
