Sausalito, CA: Friends of the Glove, [1970-?]. Poster. Poster on high-quality stock, just under 19x25 inches, very good.

Seale, who had been sentenced to four years in prison for contempt during the Chicago Eight conspiracy trial, was further tried in 1970 on charges of having ordered the killing of Black Panther Alex Rackley, who was believed to have been a police informant. The jury was unable to reach a verdict, and the charges were eventually dropped. Supporters believed that Seale had been framed in order to hamper his activism as a Panther leader. The government suspended Seale's convictions in 1972 and he was released from prison.
