Sacramento: State of California Fish and Game Commission, 1922. Pamphlet. 38p., illustrated from numerous b&w site and animal photographs, softbound, a pamphlet in 9x6 inch plain printed wraps. A fair-only copy with detached cover/titling leaf and a spinefold that long ago was strengthened by a strip of non-archival scotch tape: tape yellowed and fully split away. Cover bears an old ownership name (crossed out) and some initials and has dust-soil. A legible, handleable reading copy. Many of the pictures were taken in the Monterey Bay area, largely at Moss Landing showing a huge flensing shed, piles of bones, carcases in stages of rendering; there was even a station "in a little bay on Point Lobos" (now a semi-sacred tourist haven) this shown in a print from Scammon's Marine Mammals. Fish bulletin no. 6.
