Zap P. G. & E.: "If We Owned the Power" [handbill] vote yes on Prop. Z, power to the people
San Francisco: Self-published by the author & Power to the People, 1988. Single 8.5x11 handbill printed one side only on yellow stock with parody lyrics to song "If We Owned Our Power" sung to the tune of "If I Were a Rich Man" very good.
Gilbert Block was one of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and he wrote this ditty to increase awareness of Proposition Z the Hetch Hetchy Power Contracts proposition which sought to create a San Francisco power company. It failed.
