New York: East Village Other, Inc., 1969. Newspaper. 32 p., folded tabloid, 11.5 x 16.5 inches, illus., evenly toned, a few mini closed tears, a bit of chipping along the spine, otherwise pretty good.
The cover, like much of the issue's design, is given over to concrete poetry, while back cover is full-page cartoon ad by John Thompson for Douglas Records for Luther Johnson with Muddy Waters Band LP. Inside: Tim Leary philosophizes about violence, Lita Eliscu reports on an abortive Pornography Festival at Notre Dame University, and Marion Zimmer Bradley reviewing SF by James Schmitz and Roger Zelazny. The only comix present is a full-page ad for Gothic Blimp Works by Vaughn Bode. Plus several pages of cultural reviews and several pages of sex ads.
