The cover story about the mayor accompanied by a photo of Da Mayor, Willie Brown, is actually an historical account of the assassination attempt by Chronicle founder Charles DeYoung on the life of Mayor-elect Isaac S. Kalloch. Kalloch's son eventually murdered DeYoung in retaliation. Also a full-page ad on rear for John's Grill with photo of Bogey and the Maltese Falcon.
