Cleveland OH: Common Brick Manufacturers' Association of America, 1931. Paperback. 126p., scattered illustrations mostly diagrammatic, with a few photographs and mathematical graphs; good alkaline paperstock softbound in 7.5x4.5 inch plain printed brown wraps. Front cover has a "compliments of" stamp, and back cover a faint pencil-sketch (of a brick?), clean sound copy with a little handling wear to the wraps, a very good copy. Of interest is the 8-page glossary (find out what "skew back" means) and terminal diagrams showing types of "bonds" (course-patterns) of which "Flemish cross bonds" are my current favorite.
FYI, volume I of this series "presented information regarding the physical properties of brick and of brick masonry" (not in our stock at this time), which could make a great gift for a cautious karate beginner.
