An Open Letter to Kevin Starr, on "Lessons in History" May 9, 1978
San Francisco: Lesbian & Gay Action, 1978. Single 8.5x11 inch sheet printed both sides heavily-toned along all edges through margins and affecting the text, very light edgewear.
A response by the Lesbian & Gay organization to a May 6, 1978 column by Starr in which he reports on a warning by a CIA-trained professor and friend which apparently devolved after into what is described as "a man coming unhinged; stirred to a white foam of hatred by the 'radical element' of the gay community." What follows is a two-page chastisement of Starr and a statement of the realities faced by gay men and women in the USA.
