San Francisco: Valencia Rose, 1983. Single 8.5x11 inch handbill printed one-side-only listing four Tuesday evening shows for ugust with photos, mild wear otherwise very good on yellow stock.

The Valencia Rose, an LGBTQ comedy club and performance space, was created by Ron Lanza in 1981 and the main attraction at first was Tom Ammiano. It lasted until 1986 and was replaced by Lanza's Josie's. The Tuesday night shows were more serious in nature. August 1983 presented Gayle Rubin on Natalie Barney & Friends. Pat Bond performing as Gertrude Stein. Eric Garber's slideshow on homosexuality in Harlem in the 1920s and Bob Ross on the Tavern Guild.
