All have worn wraps and address labels, except for the January issue, which has residue from an address label on the front wrap, some have browned pages, some foxing, the February issue has a price sticker on the front wrap, the April issue has its wraps detached but present, the December issue has pen underlining on some pages, and the January issue has several small closed tears on the front wrap and stains on the rear wrap.
Covers the broad range of radical ferment at the time, from the UFW and Cesar Chavez to Watergate, Wounded Knee, the Soledad prison riots, Salvador Allende and the Chilean coup, the aftermath of the Vietnam War, the "Third Sex" (bisexuals) and more. Contributors include Noam Chomsky, Erika Huggins, Timothy Leary, and Paul Krassner. The February issue contains an excerpt from Kurt Vonnegut's novel "Breakfast of Champions" and the May issue contains an excerpt from Huey Newton's autobiography "Revolutionary Suicide"
