A lyric of the golden age

New York: Partridge and Brittan, 1856. Hardcover. xxxiv, 381p., first edition in original brown cloth decorated in a pressed blind motif, spine-titled in copper. Somewhat edge worn, corners slightly turned, spine lettering visible but very dim, some signatures pulled with the most protuberant held in by ancient masking take, more old non-archival tape along both hinges, and scattered foxing. Looks presentable on the shelf, and despite problems within remains handleable; a reading copy.

Poetry by the founder of the Brotherhood of New Life community in Santa Rosa, California.
