Boston: Benjamin Russell, publisher, 1803. Both are in the familiar doublefold format, single enormous leaves folded customarily, each leaf 20x12 inches and folded again of course. Unpaginated, these looks to be complete. Paperstock is toned, no longer white but light tan, one of the banners is undamaged while the other has a two-inch closed tear. All edges are badly worn with creasings and small losses of text; spinefolds are split and ragged. Spotty foxing. Set in smallpoint and rather hard to read; legible throughout except for scattered small losses. Sold together, to be mailed flat in a mylar baggie backed with an archival-grade cardboard stiffener to size.
Serious reporting (Irish aliens; polemic involving charges of forgery); political rhetoric re the Constitution; a list of the President's recent appointments. Public notices: bankruptcies, creditors.
