Washington DC: GPO, 1945. Pamphlet. iv, 71p., illustrated with tables and charts; staplebound pamphlet in 9x6 inch plain printed wraps. A touch of handling soil and toning to covers, non-migrating rust to staples, a few pencilled brackets within, a good copy. At this point in the war the director was advising how best turn guns into butter.
The director, who replaced the irreplaceable James F. Byrnes, signs in the plate, an illegible hand without any print subscript, nor have we found the name. Harry S Truman shortly abolished this office.
