Arlington, VA: the Consortium, 1995. Twenty-nine issues of the staplebound 8.5x11 inch newsletter, very good, many with mailing label and stamp on rear cover. Issues present are vol. 1 nos. 1-10, 13, 20-23, 26; Vol. 2 nos. 1-9, 17, 18, 21 and 23.
Describes itself as "The Web's first investigative 'zine," focusing on such topics as Reagan's October Surprise, CIA interventions in Latin America, drug smuggling by the government, etc. It had some journalistic chops as it was edited by Robert Parry, who broke stories on Iran-Contra for the Associated Press. Some coverage pushes the boundaries of conspiracy theory. An internet version for subscribers was published at the time, presaging the rampant proliferation of such material online today. The organization still has a website, though its archives do not appear to include material this early.
