Untrimmed fore edge, fine in purple boards and white cloth backing with paper title label on spine. The first publication of the Book Club, a reprint of what was believed to be the first book printed in Sacramento, a small pamphlet of twelve pages published in April of 1850. The membership slips laid-in list Walter E. Stoddard, Edward H. Crussell and Edward L. Sterne as officers. Thirty-six of the original eighty are held in institutions according to OCLC (1/2017) Fairly scarce on the market.
