Audubon's great national work: the Royal Octavo edition of Birds of America

Austin: W. Thomas Taylor, 1993. Hardcover. xvii, 213p., 8.5x11.25 inches, methodology, tables, appendix, notes, bibliography, index, 67 illustrations, an edition of 225 copies designed and printed by W. Thomas Taylor bound in decorative paper boards and green cloth backing, gilt spine titles; with it, a 6.75x11 inch booklet containing original pages and color plates from the first and second editions of The Birds of America, booklet in sewn green printed wraps, the two items in as-issued green cloth clamshell case with paper label on spine. Spine panel of case has a highly-unfortunate sun-fade (dark green has gone to grey-green) which affects case edges also. A real shame, but all else is fine.
