The Fine Art of Printing. An Address by Edwin Grabhorn before the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco at its meeting in the Allied Arts Guild, Menlo Park, California, May 15, 1933
San Francisco: The Grabhorn Press, 1933. Unpaginated, text runs [16]p., letterpress on mouldmade paper with one large rubricated initial. An immaculate copy with a signed presentation (to Harry Creach) on titlepage by Edwin. Presswork credited to both brothers. A stunningly simple small work with large margins, deeply incised letters on thick paper, the tobacco-brown cardstock cover shows the two tapes which fashion the pamphlet, restrained deckle to cover and text, a small masterpiece. Well, he was printing for knowledgeable people he knew and sold to. The address itself is cogent and succinctly opinionated.
