Hardbound, no.88 of 100 in 11.5x8 inch quarter red morocco over marbled red boards ruled gilt front and back with spine-titling gilt. Signed by Mayes at the colophon. Entirely sound, clean, and free of any ownership or other marks: a fine copy of a splendid production by a letterpress.maestro (the marbling is pretty good too).

San Francisco-based poet and travel writer's ("Under the Tuscan Sun") fourth book. Some of the poetry draws on the poet's childhood in Georgia (p.21ff); also, Ars Poetica, slicing tip of her finger off (and serving it, the little pink dome, in the salad; greenhorn in Tucson Az; a volcano in spate; Abattoir, watching a live pig butchered.
