Barcelona: the magazine, 1931-1932. Magazine. Eighteen issues of the 11x8.5 inch newsprint magazine cased into hardcovers (period binding style), from 16 to 20 pages per issue, an unbroken run for the period with color covers bound in, profuse b&w illustrations plus two or three double-spreads (in colors) per issue, these mostly embroidery patterns. Paperstock slightly toned, fine copies all, the lime-green cloth boards show a little handling soil and a shallow bump and tiny tear to the head, spine panel has a small smudge and is a little faded though gilt still bright, hinges somewhat cracked but holding well.
No.53 centerspread shows a Felix the Cat in pink, yellow and black on white (he's shooting a bow) and a splendid Mickey Mouse in no.65 (two Mickeys, interacting!) in b&w with brown shoes & tan gloves on an intense yellow field.
