New York: Brooks Atkinson Theatre, 1971. Poster. 14x22 inch poster on stiff card stock announcing the May 10th previews and May 26 opening of the original production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, mostly text with Lenny writ large at top and a clownish sketch of a face in red, white and blue drawn by "TP" pin holes in all four corners otherwise very good condition.
"Lenny" is the play O'Horgan directed just after "Hair" and in fact the rock musical was still runing across the street in 1971 when this play opened. It starred Cliff Gorman and was made into a film starring Dustin Hoffman directed by Bob Fosse. Inside info tells us that this copy was owned by Harvey Milk who was O'Horgan's assistant on the original production.
