A fictional account of a white man who turns black and is arrested and charged with raping a white woman. First published in hardcover by Padell in 1954. Predates "Black Like Me" by seven years and "Watermelon Man" by sixteen years. The author was an active Trotskyist in the Thirties and worked in the WPA.
