La Jolla: La Jolla Press, 1984. Pamphlet. 50p., 6x9 inches, foreword, illustrations, photos, very good first edition booklet in stapled pictorial wraps.
Mostly anecdotal. Author is proud of its writers, its bohemians, its commoners and its wealthy, quite often overlapping catagories. Some stories told have nothing to do with the town, merely got told at the town's favorite bar. La Jolla ("La Hoy-yah") is a transliteration of the Yumas (migrating from what is now Arizona) the Yuma Indian name for the place; it is pronounced as if it were an Espanyole word.
