New York: Simon & Schuster, 1961. Hardcover. 252p., hardbound first edition in 8x5.5 inch yellow boards with lavender cloth backstrip, gilt-titled; in dust jacket. A review copy with publisher's slip. Expect pencil underlining unfortunately, but the underlines are Ralph Gleason's (San Francisco jazz expert), his underlines and brackets indicating an interest in Long's integrationist sympathies. The cloth-backed boards are fractionally sunned at the rims, a nice copy, clean and sound, while the dj (unclipped) has snall nasty scratches along its bottom edge. All in all, a good to very good copy.
