Headline stories include the firing of a veteran copyreader and formal union protests to judge G. Cleveland Niemeyer for his injunction against Chicago Newspaper Guild strikers. Hearst strikers are invited as guests of honor at a "frolic" to be held at the Skyline Club; it is noted that the venue was moved from the Medinah Club because the union rejected the Medinah's policy barring Black attendees.
