Raised bands, titling & device & date gilt, a nice job in good condition save for a slight excess of paste in the upper hinge which has caused some tears in the first blank. Spine panel bears the numeral 1, unexplained by anything in the text suggesting the volume is partial or part of a series --possibly a misapprehension of the finisher.
