The Gelfand case: a legal history of the exposure of U. S. government agents in the leadership of the Socialist Workers Party. Volume I, volume II

Detroit: Labor Publications, Inc., 1985. Paperback. Two volumes [l, 311, vii, through 731p.], wraps, very good condition.

Documents relating to the odd case of Alan Gelfand (perhaps a plant from the Workers League) who sued the Socialist Workers Party for expelling him and alleged that the SWP was an organization controlled by both the FBI and the CIA (and somehow related to the NKVD, Soviet secret police). After this was published, Gelfand lost his case, and the SWP was awarded partial attorney's fees. This work includes allegations against Joseph Hansen, etc. and much mention of Mark Zborowski, long-time NKVD agent in the Trotskyist movement.
