The anarchist's account of his time served at the military prison that later became Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. Grosser committed suicide in 1933, and this pamphlet appears to have been printed as a tribute to him after his death. Berkman's foreword is dated November 1933, only a month after Grosser's death.
