Judge; vol. 23 no. 567 August 27, 1892
New York: The Judge Publishing Company, 1892. Pp.133-148, [16]p. staplebound 13.5 x 10.25 inch self-wraps, three color plates and numerous b&w cartoons, wraps split, detached, and chipped, and the front wrap is completely torn across and mildly browned and stained. Other general handling signs, as is.
Condition is a pity, as all three color images are especially vigorous. The cover (torn across but restorable) shows Tammany honchos in caricature as firemen, letting a fire get well under way. Back wrap shows Cleveland et alia sick on the sour apples of Free Trade, when Dana of The Sun had a nice watermelon for them. Center doublespread (has a five-inch closed tear) features Uncle Sam armed to the teeth and guarding a pile of American goods, condescending to a Grover Cleveland in rags urging revolution.
