A report on the San Francisco police department, parts I and II. Moses Lasky [and] William H. Orrick, Jr., co-chairmen. The eighth and ninth reports of the committee

Berkeley and San Francisco: Western Star Press, 1971. Unpaginated preliminaries, 181p., trade-size softbound in plain blue printed wraps. Spine panel a little creased, mild edgewear and rubbing, former owner's name a trifle too large on title page.

The chairmen hold up their report as negative : "A highly professional, efficient, and sociologically alert police force is needed in a metropolitan city like San Francisco. We do not have it.." but text looks more to lack of efficiency than abuses.
