The IASB, a Pan-Africanist organization open to all people of African descent, published pamphlets in Britain relating to the African colonies and independence movements, with some attention to the West Indies and the US. George Padmore edited the pamphlets; the advisory editors included T. R. Makonnen, Jomo Kenyatta, Wallace Johnson, C. L. R. James and Peter Abrahams. MIchelet, born in France, had been active in the Surrealist movement.
