New York: Pinnacle Books, 1972. Mass Market Paperback. 176p., first printing, slightly worn wraps with a diagonal cover crease. Paperback original.
Ashman was a paperback-original journalist with a left-of-center terrier style ("The CIA-Mafia Link;" "Kissinger: the Adventures of Super-Kraut;" "The Finest Judges that Money Can Buy") and here is supportive of Angela Davis' struggle. Ashman also had a big late-60s-style toupee that he wore in back-cover author portraits (not on this book, unfortunately); he aged but his toupee didn't.
