Oakland: the Committee, 1980. 4p., single leaf folded once; 7x8 inches, very good. Cover illustration depicts police beating a man on his knees while four people in the foreground protest.
The Committee organized to reform the Oakland police. Briscoe had died of multiple gunshot wounds; first he was shot twice with a shotgun, breaking both of his legs, then the police officer finished him off with his handgun because Briscoe was allegedly continuing to approach him (on his broken legs).
